A vibrant stay at hotel Il Palazzo Experimental

I’m only half-kidding when I say I booked a trip to Venice just so I could finally visit the beautiful Il Palazzo Experimental… but with some vacation days that needed to be used, and cheap flight from Copenhagen to Italy… I took it as a sign! I love a boutique hotel that focuses on the details of a stay, and Il Palazzo is no exception — from the books in the bookcase to the ‘do not disturb’ rotating door sign, every touchpoint was considered and playful. Designed by Dorothée Meilichzon, the rooms are so chic and comfortable, and all of the colour combinations are just perfect pairings — the lagoon blue and crimson red, just delicious!

Nestled in the Dorsoduro neighbourhood, (one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Venice) and close by to the beautiful Peggy Guggenheim museum (one of my most favourite museums ever!), it felt like a lovely break from the busyness of the paths surrounding larger attractions.
