Can I collect from your studio?
Unfortunately it’s not possible to collect orders from the studio at this time. Sorry!
Can I get on your email list?
You sure can! (we’d love to have you). Scroll on down to the bottom of this page and sign up via the form there.
What is your wholesale policy?
We love bricks-and-mortar stores and working with beautiful retail spaces! We don’t wholesale to online retailers, and we don't wholesale any of our items that are exclusively handmade. If you’re interested in carrying any of Megan’s books, please get in touch with Thames & Hudson. We're working on a soon to be released Australian range of items for wholesale, so if you're an Australian based gift store, please introduce yourself!
Can I commission you for a project?
Yes! We love working on client briefs, and have worked on a variety of projects for different brands. Illustration, product design and graphic design are all projects we love taking on when we can. Please get in touch to discuss with us.
Are you hiring?
We're a very small operation at McKean Studio, and at this stage are unable to offer work experience or internships.
Regular postage - $10 | Express postage - $15 | Small parcels - free!
Postage pricing varies on weight, and is capped at $10.00 for any purchase being sent within Australia. For small and lightweight items (such as pins and art prints), postage is free. There is no tracking available for this method of postage, and no responsibility is taken for late, missing or lost deliveries. If you require tracking, please select the $10 postage option at checkout.
All other items purchased are sent parcel post, and a tracking number is supplied with each order. This method of postage is a flat rate of $10. Express postage is available for a flat rate of $15, and priority is always given to Express Post orders to get them out and on their way as soon as possible. Orders are normally sent the following business day, but during busy times there can be delays of up to 3 business days. If you have any concerns with receiving your order in a tight timeframe please select the Express Postage option at checkout, or email us with further questions. Postage times within Australia are typically 2-4 business days (for standard parcel post) and the next business day for Express post.
Standard International $25 for parcels under 500g | $40 for parcels over 500g.
All orders sent internationally are priced based on weight. Orders under 500g are charged $25, and all orders over 500g are charged $40. This is for postage to the U.S.A, the United Kingdom, Europe and some countries within Asia. In most cases, the Standard International method is used with Australia Post to deliver your order. You will be supplied with a tracking number to help you follow your parcels journey from Sydney to wherever you are in the world. If the country of shipping does not accept this method, the next closest option will be chosen. By default, international postage is uninsured and no responsibility will be taken for lost, late or missing parcels, or parcels marked as 'delivered' by the postal service but not received. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your shipping, or would like to arrange a different shipping method, please get in touch prior to placing an order.
Where is my order?
We ship all orders from our studio in Sydney, Australia, so please keep this in mind when ordering, especially for our international friends. Depending on your location, delivery times can range from 5-30 business days. Check the Australia Post website for more information on delivery times. Unfortunately we’re unable to guarantee delivery by a specific date, as the delivery times are completely out of our control.
Re-Delivery and Postal Issues
If there are issues surrounding your order, we will do everything we can to solve the problem through working with Australia Post. Please ensure all of your contact details are correct at the time of placing your order, as McKean Studio is not responsible for incorrect postage details. In the case of a redelivery needing to occur, the customer will pay all additional postage fees. In the rare case that items are not delivered, we will fully investigate with Australia Post, and the outcome will be determined on a case by case basis.
Will I be charged customs/import taxes?
Unfortunately we can't control any duties/taxes applied to your package. Additional charges for customs clearance are the responsibility of the customer and vary from country to country. Please contact your local customs office for further information. By law, we must declare all items at their full price and cannot alter this amount to decrease international custom fees.
Please note that at this stage we are unable to accept change-of-mind returns or exchanges on any items in the McKean Studio store. We work hard to ensure our product photographs provide a true representation of each item, and provide measurements of items where necessary. If you are unsure of an item, please contact us prior to purchase so we can answer any questions you may have. In the case of an item arriving damaged or faulty, please contact us within 7 days of the date of delivery to discuss an exchange or replacement.
Incorrect Shipping Details
Please note we don’t cover the cost of return shipping, and we’re not responsible for items delivered to an incorrect address supplied by the sender - please double check before submitting an order! Auto-complete can sometimes override a unit/apartment number, so please be sure you’re supplying the right information so we can get your order out to you.
Order and Product Questions
Can I order over the phone?
Keeping our customers credit card information secure is really important to us, and as such as we can only accept orders via our online store.
What payment do you accept?
We accept VISA, MasterCard and American Express credit cards as payment in our online store. We also accept PayPal. All orders are charged in $AUD. If you're ordering in another country, you will be charged in $AUD and converted to your currency via your bank.
Receipts & Gift Purchases
All purchases online at mckeanstudio.com are provided with an Order Confirmation and an Order Sent receipt via the email address provided at the time of shopping. No additional invoice or paper receipt is sent with orders, for environmental reasons. If you are purchasing for a gift, there is no pricing or invoice sheet included in the order, and we are happy to send directly to the gift recipient
The item I want is sold out, will you make more?
Check back regularly or sign up to our mailing list to stay up to date. Some items will be re-ordered and re-stocked, others may only be limited edition and won't be back.
Is your website secure?
Yep, we’re secure. On any page where we ask you to enter your address, phone number or credit card information, we use secure socket layer (ssl) to encrypt the communication. You should also be able to see a cute little lock in your browser window, next to our website name.
What if the fit is wrong?
Wherever appropriate, we provide measurements and dimensions for all of our products. We're unable to offer returns or exchanges for change of mind on any of our items, so please double check the sizing before purchase. If you're still unsure, send us an email so we can help you out personally.
