Megan McKean for The Big Design Market

Wowee, what a wild and wonderful few weeks it’s been between Sydney and Melbourne for The Big Design Market! It was such a delight to design and illustrate the artwork for the kids play area at the 2018 events for both cities. A giant wall of artwork for kids (and grown-ups!) to take photos against, and activity stations to keep little hands occupied for a while. Colouring in stations were provided, as well as sticks to fix their mini-artworks too that they could then plant alongside the cubby houses in their little garden beds!

Seeing my work enjoyed by so many people over the two weekends was such a thrill, and lots of kids taking a bit of time out to read my books inside the cubby houses too! Big thanks to The Big Design Market for working with me on this special project.
