We were gifted an ice-cream maker for Christmas from my dad, a gift we've been putting to good use! My first attempt was a chocolate gelato (which was a little bit of a cheat since I used a packet concoction, whizzed it in with some milk and then churned it) paired with chocolate covered hazelnuts. It turned out deliciously dark and sweet, perfect for Joshua and his very-dark-chocolate-sweet tooth. I think his love for dark chocolate is secretly all a ploy to keep me from eating his sweets. The second round was a berry sorbet, made from scratch this time, but still ridiculously easy. A simple syrup of water and sugar, strawberries and rasberries blended together, churn and enjoy! For such easy methods, it's definitely churning (ha!) out some yummy results. Any suggestions what we should attempt next?
