Snakes and Kids

We attended a birthday party for family friends on the weekend, and with 42 children in attendance (insane!!) mostly ranging from ages 4 to 7, it's definitely cemented the fact that Joshua and I won't be making any little McKeans for quite some time. I have no idea how parents commit to birthday parties for their kids every year, we were completely exhausted after helping out for 5 hours. Joshua was on jumping castle duty, I was on tattoo application duty and the amount of kids who wanted their tattoos on their back, tramp stamp style, was a little worrying. The highlight of the day was the reptile showing, friends who own a wildlife park brought along some scaly creatures, including a bearded dragon, a shingleback lizard and a water python. We both held the snake, although Joshua had a lot more enthusiasm than me. The outtakes of the photos above include several of me grimacing and looking nervously at Mr Pythons head as I asked just how often do they actually bite people.
