Foley Street

This week we paid a site visit to Foley Street to get a better feel for the area, and to source some of our materials we plan on using in our installation and exhibition. We mostly collected a variety of discarded glass bottles, including a secretly placed bottle of moonshine with a homemade label and all. Milk crates, pot plants and an assortment of nooks and crannies built into the outer walls of the buildings were some of the things we discovered on our trip. The street, although small, has quite an amount of character - pieces of typographic graffiti, peeks into residential windows, and my personal favourite, the 'Royal Court' art deco apartments that perch on the corner of the street.
