Introducing Hello, New Zealand! by Megan McKean

I’m so thrilled to introduce my new book — and give you a cheeky peek at the cover — gorgeous, green New Zealand! I shared the news about my new title earlier this week, and have been overwhelmed with lovely messages and comments on Instagram. If you took the time to leave a comment or send me a message, thank you! I always say that I wouldn’t be able to make the books without your support, and it’s entirely true; each successful book run means a vote for my ability to do it again, so if you’ve ever purchased, borrowed, or lent out a copy of any of my books, you’ve contributed to my being able to make another one!

In Hello, New Zealand! we’re back with 6 bird guides, but this time they won’t be making their way around by using their wings … your friendly KIWI guides will be taking you on a tour of NZ by ferry, bikes, gondolas and more! I had to get creative with their modes of transport since kiwis can’t flit and fly like other birds can, but was fascinated to learn about all the different ways of getting around in NZ — from flat-bottomed punting boats in Christchurch to the famous red cable-car in Wellington, there’s so many ways to whiz about the land of the long white cloud.

You can follow along on Instagram under the hashtag #HelloNZbyMeganMcKean where I’ll be sharing peeks into the book making process and what goes into a new title, and you can pre-order your copy now from Booktopia (if you’re in Australia) or The Book Depository (who offer free worldwide shipping, wherever you are!) for delivery on release this September! Please note that I won’t be selling copies of the book through McKean Studio, and don’t have any market events scheduled for 2019, so unfortunately won’t be able to offer signed copies or personal notes for this release. I’m hoping to visit more bookstores and sign their stocked copies during September when Hello, New Zealand! is published, so it’s a great opportunity to support our local and independent retailers and bookstores around Australia and New Zealand by shopping in person.
