Bristopia by Megan McKean

I can’t believe we’re in October already; this whole year has honestly felt like both the fastest and the slowest at the same time! Regardless of my personal perception of time, here we are in October which means there are just a few days left of my Bristopia exhibition at the Museum of Brisbane. Working on this exhibition back in January was such a fun and challenging way to kick off 2018, and seeing it all come to life in the animation, and the exhibition installation, before opening in April was such a thrill. Visiting the exhibition in person in June, and being invited to speak at the Museum of Brisbane for a special evening at my ‘Meet the Maker’ event was such a highlight for me, personally and professionally. From start to finish it’s been such a special project!

The last 6 months of having the exhibition running in Brisbane has been so lovely to introduce my work to a wider audience, and every message and kind comment I’ve received has been so appreciated. Let’s not forget the dang BILLBOARD that’s been up on airport drive in Brisbane for the past 6 months, that still spins me out when I think about that!

Bristopia runs until October 14 at the Museum of Brisbane.
