I spent a solid 9 hour day last week drawing out a big map of Rome. Similar to Paris, it's full of tiny houses and big attractions; like the Pantheon, the Roman Forum, the Colosseum and Trevi fountain, so I felt a map-style drawing was the best way to represent it. It's been really nice the last couple of weeks to be working on some big scale illustrations again. I'd sort of forgotten how much I enjoyed working on them, so it's been a real treat to sit down for hours at a stretch and get some solid work out onto the paper! I've just about finished the linework for Rome, a bit of scanning and correcting, and the onto choosing a palette!
