I thought I had been so clever in avoiding Joshua's cold, but just as he was starting to get better, I woke up with the dreaded lurgy. How inconvenient! Dosed up on ibuprofen this morning, I relented and bought a hooded cape to wear around town. The weather has been chilly but not unbearable, but there's nothing worse than being outside all day in 12 degrees when you're feeling poorly! It's looking like rain for Italy too, so a jacket will come in handy I'm sure.

We did some window shopping in one of the edgier parts of the city (at times feeling a little bit too edgy for our liking.. Cough cough... Methadone clinic...) and saw a lot of lovely pieces that would like great in our home if we had no other furniture to crowd them. That's the trouble with all those clean lines and minimal design. That didn't stop us from thinking about Hay all last night, and we beelined back there for one last look. We left with a bed linen set (at 50% off we really couldn't leave it behind) and my carry on luggage is looking quite questionable now!

We spent the afternoon back in Nyhavn, eating churros and icecream on the edge of the canal. One of those perfect moments that will be a trip favourite. We're off to Italy tomorrow morning, starting with Milan for the weekend! Ciao!
